Yet more tax!

An essential purpose of Australian government today is reduction of people’s standard of living. Retailers and politicians, both increasingly dubious groups, want more tax. The list of retailers is interesting, sort of.

None of them offer products that I have purchased overseas, in the UK, US, the Czech Republic, and Japan. So, why the whine? They’ve had Keynesian stimulus, that height of generational cowardice and theft, to nigh countless billions of dollars. Still, they moan they haven’t enough. Stiff.

If the relevant products happen to require electricity, before long they won’t often work anyway. Bob Brown’s and others’ (like the abominable Mike Rann) obsession with so-called renewable energy will make sure of that.
